About Mrs. Holovach
Jessica Holovach is in her fifth year as Choral Director at Durand Area Schools in Durand, MI where she is in charge of all secondary vocal music and a Music Appreciation elective. Jessica studied Music Education first at Western Michigan University and then at the University of Michigan-Flint, earning her degree in 2008. In her undergraduate years, Jessica had the privilege of performing and studying with two exceptional choral directers, Dr. Joseph Miller and Dr. Gabriela Histrova. While with these directors, Jessica performed with the Western Michigan Woman's Ensemble, the Western Michigan Collegiate Singers, the U of M Chorale, and the U of M Chamber Singers.
Before coming to Durand, Jessica taught Music Theory, Music Appreciation, Choir, and Band at Madison Academy High School in Flint, MI. Outside of Durand, she teaches private voice, violin, and piano and is also the Handbell Director at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church in Frankenmuth, MI.
Jessica resides in Frankenmuth, MI with her husband Steven and son Harrison. In their shared free time, they enjoy playing the piano together and spending time with their two dogs, Sydney and Riley.
